數(shù)字調音臺內的音頻信號是數(shù)字信號，是全自動化處理，總諧波失真和等效輸入噪聲都很低。常被用于要求高的音響系統(tǒng)。模擬調音臺都是采用傳統(tǒng)的模擬方式進行信號處理，技術成熟，成本低，但是模擬調音臺性能穩(wěn)定，不易受外界因素影響。

數(shù)字調音臺跟模擬調音臺都有各自的特點，如果是大型綜合性的擴聲場所，使用數(shù)字調音臺，因為數(shù)字調音臺有豐富的接口及音頻處理功能，可以滿足不同場景及特定功能需求。如果是小型固定會議場所，建議使用模擬調音臺，成本低，系統(tǒng)穩(wěn)定，操作簡單，適用于非操作人士的操作。
